Getting Started
After many different career changes that ultimately ended up in being a stay-at-home mom, now I am trying to branch out into photography. I've been given the gift of being home with my 3 beautiful children and I love it more than anything, but I long to do something a little more, help our finances, and channel my artistic capabilities. I love crafting and need to do more of it, but it gets messy and time consuming laying everything out, doing what I can while the kids are sleeping or otherwise engaged and then cleaning it all back up before the children can get into it. I need a room that is just for all my stuff, or junk, whichever term you prefer. That would allow me to save the time of unpacking and repacking every time I want to get crafty which would encourage me to do more of it. I love taking pictures and capturing people, especially children, and their personalities in the process. So far, I've found my biggest success photographing outdoors as I do not yet have a quality flash that would make indoor pictures look less harsh. That will be my next photography accessory. I have my nice camera, the lens it came with and another fantastic lens that I LOVE (75-300mm). I will be super excited to get a flash and start playing with indoor/studio photography, but in the mean time, I'll keep playing with outdoor shots. I look forward to the future and the possibilities it holds.
